The regular NHL season is winding down to its most critical stage, and in this Fantasy Minute, recaps of Sunday's action and developments will help fans keep abreast of the developments for the playoff spot races.

This weekend's fantasy minute relates to the fact that some NHL teams are pushing ahead towards solidifying their playoff standing, whereas some other teams cannot make any headway and put away the teams that are chasing them (ALA Philadelphia and Boston).

Ahh, the home stretch. Most teams now have anywhere between 10-12 games left, and you can see the panic or excitement begin to set in for many players, coaches and GMs. This is also the start of reflection time for fantasy GMs and their fantasy teams.

It is almost playoff time for us managers in head to head fantasy hockey leagues, and for those in rotisserie leagues, it is time to start making some “desperate” moves in hopes of climbing up the ranks. Therefore, now is the time to make some final waiver wire moves.
